Pro-160 EDACS Problems

I am programming a Pro-160 for a friend and am seeing some problems. I have programmed many Unidens and other Radio Shack models for friends and neighbors, which I have set up for our local EDACS system. But on this particular model, I am seeing some really weird things. I have programmed my 10 800 MHz frequencies setting the mode for all channels and the bank itself. I went in and put my desired talk groups in and changed the scanning mode to closed. I am running a Uniden right next to this 160 and the 160 is picking up almost nothing the Uniden is. If I switch the 160 over to manual I appear to be getting good signal from the control channel. And another unusual thing, sometimes the 160 will stop on a talk groupl I have programmed, like 04-046 which is hospital operations for my area, but the conversation will be something from another talk group I don't have entered like the street department. Any help would be appreciated.
