Pro-163 Indoor Ant?

Twisp, WA.
I live in a very rural area of Okanogan County (Twisp) with alot of mountains. The apt building I live in does not allow mounting on the outside walls.

Any ideas for a good indoor ant?

Looks like most of the stuff in your area is VHF, I would think the stock antenna would do the job, as long as it set to the right length
You can do with setting the length of your antenna, just mess with it and see what works the best.

18 inches is the correct length for the 154MHz range, but whatever antenna you use get it as near to a window as possible. Glass does not impede radio frequencies.

This antenna (wire version - 2nd one listed, scroll down page) is dirt cheap and works very well hung in a window with the coax run over to your scanner. No need to relocate the scanner. Better yet is to hang it in your attic or crawl space:
