Pro-163 w/PSREdit Working in Ubuntu Linux w/Wine!

Hi,

I've seen a lot of unanswered threads about scanner software on 'nix so I thought I'd post that I did manage to get PSREdit (trial version) working with my Pro-163 (GRE-300) via Wine in Ubuntu 8.10.

I had to install the latest version of Wine to get the RadioShack 20-247 USB/Serial cable to recieve data properly, though pre-update I was at least able to update the firmware on my scanner. Below I'll post some fairly simple instructions.

I tried to make it coherent, I hope it helps someonei. I've watched the page, I'll keep it updated as I learn more about the PSREdit/Wine relationship.

(Right now I'm just overjoyed to have 8 full banks in my Pro-163 finally!)
