Has anyone bought one of these? If you did, how do you like it? I am looking for a scanner and I don't need digital and was thinking of picking one of these up. Thanks for your time and effort......Ray

Hi, ray...Its a very good scanner overall....If you page through the articles a little further, I started a users opinions on it..But I recommend it highly or its brother which i have the Psr-400, which is the same scanner...Either way ,can't go wrong IMO.

I dont have a 163, but my friend has one and its a nice scanner and receives well, but i do have a pro 433 which are on clearance right now for only 119.. its very easy to use, and has a lot of neat features

I've had mine for a month. Love it. I was using my Pro-97 for base and mobile. Nice to have a base model
I use Win97 to program it. The radio does need the USB programming cable: part# 20-047.
