I am in centeral Iowa Marshall co.I have a Pro 163. I programed it for edacs and had my talk groups in and it was working fine. I am a novice or beginer would probablly more correct. Any way I thought it would be nice to have the name of the agencies I was listen to and I was in the process of trying to do that I got distracted and I thought I had it back to scanning but it does not trunk any more.

I and sure that the frequencies have not change as I have a bc scanner also and it is working fine. I manually took out all the frequencies and put everything back in and still nothing I don't get the motor boat on the control channels. I don't have the cable or software.so I did some more reading and decided to reinitialize it since i only had the one bank on it and not a lot of info plus it was not working. I initialized it and programed it again and It still is not working the trunking symbol does not appear. Does anyone have any thoughts or Ideas.

Can you pick up anything on it? Try the weather service. I see that the RACOM system for your county has rebanded. This will answer your questions about rebanding.

Which channels are the freqs. in? They must be in specific channels - not 1, 2, 3 etc.
There are 8 freqs. in the Marshall site. The first one must be in channel 7 and the last is in channel 22. Many channels must be left empty.
After entering the last freq., hit SCAN. Then it will start trunking.
Also, if it's trunking, so should never hear the control channel "buzz".

Make sure the individual channels (021 or whatever) is followed by ED. The bank itself must be set for trunking otherwise it won't work.

You might have something there I was the trying to set up the other night and it seems like When i was doing the bank it really didn't say edac. it gave me 3 other choices and I can't remember what they are I have to be at work right now and I'll have to check it when I get home.can someone give me the procedure in steps to get a bank in to edac maybe I'm doing that wrong you're not reading my other directions right thanks Craig
