Hello

Hello neighbor, I'm on the extreme northern listening fringe of the salem county system with a bcd396T. I'm located in Camden County. I haven't tried any T-Band (500 MHz range)TRS yet, I just got my Pro-164 yesterday. Do you receive any transmissions, or any noise? If you try scanning the system and you press the MAN button, do you get control channel noise? Where are you located? What kind of antenna are you using? In the mean time I'll try programming it in tonight and see if I can get anything.

No Good

Hello. I tried to program the Salem Co. TRS last night, and had trouble also. I put in all the Control channels in the frequency bank, programmed them as Motorola frequencies. I also programmed the Motorola system as a UHF and put in the base and offset information. I also programmed some talkgroups into the banks. When I scan the system I get nothing, no transmissions, audio, frequencies or talkgroups. When I press the MAN button, I receive a strong signal on the control channel (surprising for being so far away!! :]) and the system ID. But no talkgroup numbers or transmissions. That is even while I had the BCD396T next to me also scanning the system, so I knew there was traffic on the system. What am I doing wrong? }:>(

Programming base/offset on 500

What do you do if your 500 system only has one base/offset frequency? I programmed that one into my Pro-164, but there are two others programmed in that I can't get rid of. I think thats why I can't scan the system. Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

If you put the desired base/offset/step into the first "table" entry in that bank, it should work. Or, put the same base/offset/step values into all three entries.

It isn't possible to actually delete the other entries in the scanner - there are always exactly three such table entries per bank.
