Let's say I want to enter a specific frequency number. How do I do it without programming it in?

To program a conventional frequency in manually from the Pro-164 keyboard:

1. Press Man button.
2. Enter bank + channel number where you want to store the frequency. (you could enter 201 and it would store your frequency into bank 2 channel 1).
3. Press Man button.
4. Press Prog button, enter the frequency on the keypad (e.g. 155.255, don't forget decimal point).
5. Press Ent to store.

To program a trunked system, please see the Radio Shack manual available online.

You have to "program" a frequency in order for the radio to receive it, unless you've used the search function.

If you just want to listen to a single frequency, you could press the TUNE button, type in the frequency and press enter.
