Pro-164 Question. Using PC Speakers

Ok, my dumb question for the night/morning. I have a Pro-164 Handheld Scanner. Sometimes my kids are a little..haha...loud. I have a pair of Logitech PC Speakers that are amplified and have a subwoofer, which I can turn down. My question is, would it be safe to plug the speakers into my Pro-164 headset jack? Only difference I can think of would be that the PC Speakers have a stereo jack, and I'm sure the 164 only does mono. I just want to make sure there are no problems doing this. At least this way I can turn it up and hear my scanner over the kids lol! Any input would be appreciated.

With those speakers you are just going to add more noise to your house. Why not just use a headset?

All RS scanners let you use a stereo plug to monitor the HT's. It won't be a problem, other than the low output of the headphone jack.

just about any speakers/headsets should work with a 3.5 mm plug
