I have just purchased a new PRO 164 and cannot get it to scan trunked groups either. I have set the bank to MOT, and all of the frequencies to MOT. When I scan it will not stop on any frequency. When I manually scroll through the channels they all say MOT, and I can see the talk group IDs -- I hit TRUNK and they save. + s active on all so none are closed. Am trying to scan Fort Worth, Texas, fire/police/EMS. (Motorola 2).

Scan works in another bank where I do not have the freqs tagged as MOT, but then there is no point scanning as I want to follow a concersation on a specific channel, such as Fire Dispatch... but can't track it. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

When you go to manual and go through the freqs, do you hear the MOT control channel? And if its stopping on TGID's and you are saving them, then you are scanning. If you are seeing just the one freq on your display, then it is locked on the MOT control channel and you are scanning, it won't scroll through the freqs like if you have conventional freqs in the bank, but it is scanning through TGID's, you just won't see that. Try going to the RR database and entering some of the convetional freqs ffor your area in the same bank(yes it will do this), I see you have quite a few listed for your county, make sure you enter the as FM freqs and then set the bank to "closed mode" and scan the bank, now you should see it scan the other freqs after it goes through the TGID's that you have saved, then you should see it stop on the MOT control channel while it scans the TGID's again, then conventional freqs, then stop on MOT control channel and so on, and so on. And welcome to the RR boards.
