Pro-164 scanner Software Opinions wanted

I Just got a Radio Shack Pro-164 scanner from my local radio shack that was a return or something and was sitting in the back of the store. I got it for 50 bucks they sell for 219 but they didn't have anything for it and were going to destroy it. The guy gave me a adapter for the computer to program it cause he said its a pain in the ass without it.The only problem is ive never done any programming via software and can't decide which software to use.

Which software is better BuTel ARC300, PSREdit 300,StarrSoftwin97 or Scancat Lite Plus ?

StarrSoftwin97 seems to be the better liked program so i'm going to give it a try

I gave the 3 out of the 4 a try i decided to stay away from the scancat like everyone said and I decided which one to keep I went with the StarrSoftwin97. I found it the easiest one to use for the scanner that is a pain without it
