Pro-164 Settings

Going to try to explain this quick.

Purchased a Pro-164. First scanner I've ever owned. Purchased a RR subscription used the ARC300 software to program.

For the Site portion of the software im clicking one of the four selections. For the Talk groups im only selecting Pompano Beach Broward Sheriff's office District 11.

For some reason once i only add BSO District 11 and turn the scanner on it just down scans and is hitting every talk group. Including the waste management. Public Works other BSO Districts Fire Rescue ETC.


Once it hits Pompanos I have to hit PSE to stop it on that channel. Obviously im doing something wrong so im coming here for help.


Secondly im setting up different banks for different districts.

For Example Bank 0 will be Pompano BSO Police Only.
Bank 1 would be BSO FireRescue including all TAC'S
Bank 2 would be all of BSO Police.
Bank 3 would be something else etc.

But again it just jumps to what ever it pleases and doesn't give me the option to change banks on the scanner.

Again this is my first scanner and i know im doing something incorrect. Or misunderstanding what a "Bank" really is.

The PRO-164 has two Trunking modes, OPEN and CLOSED.
In OPEN mode you will hear ALL active talk groups.
In CLOSED mode you will hear ONLY the talk groups you put into the sub-banks.
