As others have had problems with the Signal Stalker, I think I've identified the reason but not the solution.
While searching with the SEARCH LIMIT (Custom Range SR7), squelch will not open with Zeromatic ON.
Turning Zeromatic OFF allows the squelch to open and the search to stop on active frequencies.
Zeromatic defaults to ON on this scanner. Turning the scanner off and back on, Zeromatic is back ON for search.
I think the same Zeromatic ON/no opening squelch problem is why Signal Sweeper does not work on some scanners while it works on others. If there was a way to turn Zeromatic OFF for Signal Stalker, I bet it would work.
However, there does not seem to be an option in the scanner or available software to turn Zeromatic OFF or have Zeromatic default to OFF globally.
Could we verify with PRO-164s with working Signal Stalker that their Limit Search and other searches default to Zeromatic OFF?
