PRO-164 Still Won't Trunk

I've posted this before ... but I'm still having trouble with my PRO-164 not trunking.
I sent my scanner back to Radio Shack's Repair Depot last year because I couldn't use the upload port to do anything. I couldn't upload from PSR-300 ... I couldn't upload the upgrades from their site (which were supposed to take care of the "rebanding issues" ... And they (after saying they couldn't upload the updates because that wasn't in their venue of repair) finally sent the scanner back to me with all the updates loaded and the port now able to be used to upload and download scanner data.
I uploaded the frequencies and talk channels that I wanted to use on the Sacramento City/County Trunking system ... I checked all the right boxes for the rebanded issues (to the best of my ability) and still the scanner will not trunk ... I can listen to all of the trunking frequencies in an 'open' format ... but I cannot get the scanner to trunk properly.
Any suggestions?

The pro 164 wont follow apco-25 need to upgrade your radio if you want to listen

Yes ... I did try to do the upgrade a second time ... but the radio was already on the latest issue of the software ... and it wouldn't take the upgrade a second time.

I have a friend with a PRO-164 and it works fine for listenting to the Sacramento City/County Trunked system. I compared his to mine and they seem the same... But mine still won't trunk!

You could try to clone your scanner from his and see if it will work. Other than that upload your file so we can look at it for clues.
The data base shows that SAC should be available for you.

I couldn't upload from PSR-300 ... ??

PSR-300 is a scanner, not software. Did you mean Arc300? You have to click on the Pro-163/164 button to get the files uploaded to the scanner. Otherwise, I believe, that it isn't seeing the correct scanner.

Why not just clone his scanner all the settings will be transferred

I'm still working on it and I may take the advice of the other fellow who suggested that I just clone my friends PRO-164 ... whenever I can catch up with him again!

I'm still not sure what software you are using, is it Win97 or ARC300?

It's hard to believe that after a dozen posts no one has given you the correct answer.

You MUST use software to enter the rebanding tables neeeded to track that system.
The PRO-164 is the RS-branded GRE PSR300 scanner.

The OP is not attempting to listen to P25 signals. He is wanting to program an analog system.

The system I monitor sometimes uses a frequency as a control channel that is not listed in the database as a CC or alternate. Try programming in the frequencies manually and make sure the bank is in open mode. However, as stated above if the system has in fact rebanded you will have to use the programming software and use the rebanding tables.

Before giving him the correct answer, I checked the RR database to be sure the system has been rebanded.

So my pro 164 is having the exact same issue. I was having power issues with my previous 164 so I purchased a new one today. Now it will not pick up any trunk groups. I had the store clone my old one so everything is the exact same. Both the channel and bank are set to mot. Pretty sure we have not been rebanded as my old 164 works just fine (minus the power issue). I have been searching and searching and nothing I do seems to fix the issue. If I stop on one of the control channels I programmed that is not being used as a control channel tonight it will pick up parts of the conversation. It almost seems as the my scanner is not processing the control channel. The T in the top of the LCD does not come on at all. Hope someone can help me.

First of all, you should have started a new thread. What you did is called "hijacking" a thread.
Since you're here, I will reply.
1. It is impossible to figure out what is wrong unless we know which system you are monitoring - state/county/city.
2. If the system has been re-banded you may need to install new trunking tables. For a PRO-164, that can only be done via software.
3. I suggest starting a new thread in the state forum where you live.
