Hey all I'm kinda new to the scanner scene so try to bare with me. I bought my Pro-164 in January and I just programed it with Win97 and it had great reception but I dunno if I'm getting all the channels. I live in Utah and heard there was a problem with the 164 getting all the channels since we have been re-banded. This firmware was supposed to fix it. So I go into my Win97 and select the "Multi-table" under the "MOT 800mhz" Section and up load all the data to my scanner and all the transmission are very quiet and scratchy... I dunno what to do. If anyone can help me it would be much appreciated.

brood11384, Additional comments.....now having read your post again......you need to make sure that you need rebanding. I am up here in the Davis/Weber area and the UCAN up here rebanded from the 863 mhz down to the 851 mhz area. I have all of the Davis/Weber UCAN in bank 4 in both of my scanners. That is the only bank that I have rebanded......as I have described above in the link. All my other frequencies/bank (HILL AFB, airport towers, railroads) are just the normal frequencies that I downloaded through my software of the day (ARC300) from the RadioReference Database.

Read all of the posts in that discussion. It will explain what frequencies the 163 and 164 no longer recognizes due to the rebanding........It is about half of the 10-12 frequencies in the Weber/Davis UCAN.

I believe that the RadioReference Database identifies which areas of the UCAN have been rebanded. Hope this helps.
