I'm in the market for a handheld digital scanner. I have a PRO-197 desktop, so I'm familiar with the capabilities of the equivalent PRO-106. On the PRO-18, how difficult would it be to program in the frequency of a small local airport? I haven't seen all those frequencies on the RR web site, so I don't know if such a frequency can be obtained from the database. If not, what's the alternative? Can a frequency be manually entered using the software? Would one have to put the scanner in search mode until a transmission was heard on that frequency?
And what about business frequencies that may not be in the RR database? How hard would it be to program in a business frequency if you knew it?
