Usually the radios have poor reception after being exposed to higher end TX sources.

I was doing an experiment on a Pro-197, testing it's ability to function in a high microwave environment. Like on an aircraft carrier, next to a radar dish.

So, I put it in a microwave, and turned on the radio, and decoded APCO 25, and watched how long the Radio work with the Microwave Oven on High.

It does not pick up signals so well anymore, and the decoding sounds kind of cool now. I could hear Mao screaming inside the Microwave as I cooked this communist radio.

This is my secret lab.

I'm going to melt and cook some other communist Scanners. I do have an American Made Radio, from CUBIC. Only buy American, don't buy Chinese.

CUBIC is the only way to go folks. They can handle Microwaves, EMP blasts, and other nefarious things, even cosmic rays.

I don't trust these Chinese Communists Products.

So I buy American.

What's the Frequency Kenneth?
