PRO-197 LED Yellow

For some reason my 197 does not display a yellow color. (If I remember correctly, the unit did display yellow on its LED when I first received it.)

I am using WIN500 and have tried several different settings for yellow, but all have a strong green tint. I even initialized the unit but this did not help. The yellow color still appears as green. Is anyone using a different setting for yellow other than the default setting (FF, FF, 00)? If so please advise what you are using - maybe just maybe it will work for me.

I use the default FF,FF,00 on my PSR500 and have a version of yellow that I like. The same setting on my Pro-197 yields some flavor of green. I used Win500 and set the yellow to B0, 50, 00 and my Pro-197 now shows a yellow similar to my PSR500. It should, at least, give you a starting point.

Thank you for the reply. I used your setting in Win500 and then downloaded to my unit. Sad to say it was still green in color but not as much as before.

I had some free time and decided to play around with your settings. I finally came upon BO,40,00 and think I can live with it. Thanks again for your input.

I picked up a Pro-106 brand new from RS and it would not display red, yellow or white. I tired all the settings using the software to change it and contacted GRE and I was told to take it back to RS and exchange it. I did and he new one works fine. I would take it back as it has a 1 year warranty.

Pro-197 LED Yellow

That clearly is an option to think about. At this point in time, however, I have a Pro-197 unit that works in all areas except for the yellow and this has been corrected with non-default settings. Taking the unit back to Rat Shack and getting a new one could create more problems in the future. Thanks for your input.
