OK this is weird...I just programmed a trunk system into a second PRO-197 to have a second radio to listen to when its busy,
In scan mode the second PRO-197 is not stopping on anything even though the signal meter is showing full scale
If I go manual the groups come in fine...obviously I've done something stupid...any help appreciated
The original PRO-97 works fine in both modes
Thanks

Let's see what trunk system you're talking about. We're not Vulcans - we can't read your mind. Give us the URL from the database and the folks that can best help (Mass. folks) can start from there.

Sarasota-Manatee...both scanners were programmed manually...one works in scan, the other doesn't. Both work in manual mode
Thanks

Speaking from experience after experience on my PSR 500, I can assure you that each and every time I attempted to manually program that radio, I messed it up every single time. Hence, I learned to use a computer. Then, it is easier to see "where" mistakes were made. Looking through a narrow display window gives me headaches. Hence, I don't know how to help, sorry.

If one scanner works and the other doesn't, all you need is a short cable with mini (1/8") TRS plugs on both ends. You can clone the programming from the scanner that is working into the one that is not. It does not require a computer. Plug the cable into the PC/IF jacks on both scanners and turn them on. On the scanner that is working, Press the PROG button and then the F3 button (GLOB). Scroll to Clone Send. Press SEL. The programming from the good scanner will be transferred to the bad scanner. Always remember to do the Clone Send on the scanner with the programming you want to keep.
