I have had a PRO 197 for 6 months. Until about a week ago I was receiving wyolink. All at once the scanner stopped receiving all but conventional frequencies. I have done a factory default reset and reloaded all the info from the PC but still not receiving anything but conventional. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do or what I am doing wrong?

Could the control channels on the sites you listen to have changed? Are you still seeing the "T" on the display indicating it is receiving trunking data?

Rick, thanks for the quick response. I am somewhat of a newbie on the fancy scanner stuff. There is not a T on the display. I am going to check with some local folks to see if the cc may have changed.

Thanks for the trying to help on my pro 197 issue. I have since found out from our local radio shack guy that he has two other scanners not receiving the wyolink transmissions. One is brand new so there must be some problem with the local sites. The rest of the state is apparently still up and running. He said there was a power outage here and he hasn't received anything but local conventional here. Eases my mind that I don't have a 400 dollar paperweight on my end table. Thanks again.

Site 210 (Cedar Mountain) control channel flipped from 156.165 to the alternate 155.6925. Reprogram your control channel. The site has been running fine all along I've been listening to it every day since it first came on line. - Tom

Thanks much Tom. I have changed the contro frequency as you said and all is up and running. You are fantastic.

If you're just listening to the one site, probably wouldn't hurt to program in the alternate CCs as well, then if it flips again you won't get any interruption.

Glad you got it figured out!

Thanks Rick. Did that last night after getting back up and running. I have had scanners for the past 20 years but nothing this involved. Lots of learning to do. Now I need a good antenna to expand reception. Gotta get wifey talked into that one yet. She is still wondering why I needed to buy WIN500 and a subscription to radio reference. Haha. Thanks again.
