I'm sure that this has come up before, but is there anyway to reset it? My old 2096 had a reset hole on the back panel.

1. Turn off the scanner, then turn it on again.
The scanner briefly displays the DSP boot version, and then the
Welcome/Owner screen is displayed.
2. Press 0 while the scanner is displaying the Welcome/Owner
screen. The scanner displays:
System Tests:
Select a Test...
Exits if no key
is pressed
3. Press 1. The scanner displays:
Factory Init
Erase Memory
ENTER if APPROVE
4. Press ENT. The scanner displays:
Initializing the
File System
Please Wait.....
File System
Initialized to
Defaults.
Press any key.
5. Press any key on the keypad to proceed. The scanner displays:
GLOB EEPROM area
Initialized to
defaults.
Press any key.
6. Press any key on the keypad to proceed. The scanner will reboot
with file system and global parameters reset to factory defaults.

Awesome! I really didn't mean to bother anyone with this, but my 'radio shack' is in pieces from trying to find the OM for this one. Found the manuals for every other scanner I have! Thanks again!!! Now, time to put this mess back together........!

Pretty sure you can get the manual from radio shack website or GRE.(psr-600)

Download the manual(s) from RadioShack Digital Trunking Radio Scanner User's Guide | ManualsOnline.com and put them on a smartphone or tablet or Dropbox-type account to have instant access anywhere you wander.

For some reason this Index to Scanners or tech support doesn't seem to be directly available from Radio Shack's home page, but it is useful for older RS scanner research.

To find manuals for your other stuff, put the manufacturer name plus catalog (or model) number followed by the word 'manual' into almost any search engine (Google, Yahoo, Bing, et al).
