Pro-2006 discriminator tap

Hello

I have a quick question about tapping the Pro-2006.

I have a 10k capacitor and a 10k resistor, Will this work fine or what do i need to change?

I am trying to follow these instructions but I am confused.

10K capacitor?
Capacitors are specified in microfarads (uf)..check your value.

I use a 3K resistor from the discriminator pin, to a 1uf tantalum capacitor to the center lead of an RCA jack.

This has worked for 10 years for many decoding programs based on these instructions (optimized to my needs) Pro 2006 Scanner

Do you use this configuration for the PRO-2006 specifically or another radio?

My 2006, 2026 and a BC895. Resistor values vary a little depending on output level but in general it works the same on all.

Did you use line-in or microphone input?

I use this program Martin Zuther K-Meter, free effect for metering and monitoring audio levels to set levels to about -10 on the meter.

I have a 3.3K resistor, is that close enough?.
Also do you use a external soundcard or the internal soundcard?

Close enough, I use the internal computer sound card. (laptop and tower)
