got a 2006 that has lost its backlight, upon closer inspection it would seem that T501 on the display/cpu board is the culpret. This transformer seems to be the voltage source for the EL backlight, and on this unit the transformer is halfway off the board (resoldering the output leads is not an option on this one, must replace the transformer).
that said, anyone know where i can get a suitable replacement and/or what the voltage requirement for the EL panel itself is.
the transformer is T501 and the only markings on it are E5N75
normal searches havent yeilded much.
any ideas?
