Looking for the instructions bill cheek has on adjusting T1,T4,T7,T6,T5,,T8.Do not need the whole book. Working on a old Pro 2006 A thats not moded. Thanks
Thanks i forgot to say i have the service manual.Bill used a meter as i remember and used a weather station to make the adjustments and used a chip for test point one. I used to have the book but sold it.
You can measure the voltage at pin 14 of IC4 and tune to max voltage. Set the receive mode to AM.
It's always difficult to use a live signal as it will change in strength depending of propagation and signals bouncing around and reflect off objects.
The service manual has the other info about TP1 and TP2 where you measure the DC voltage, 3,8v and 3,9v, to tune the 10,7MHz and 455KHz IF filters frequencies, as there's no way to calibrate the reference oscillator if it has drifted away in frequency.
Yes it was all dirty from sitting in a carport. Got it cleaned up and adjusted every thing.I have one myself works great !Still lots of analog stuff out there to hear.!
just keep the light dim or off.
i have a 2004 that has been in use since i got it and sure it is a little dull on high, but i can still read it.
i have always kept it on dim as i usually don't have to see it.
