PRO-2006 LED S-Meter Mod

I am having trouble finding Bill Cheek's book about the LED S-Meter Mod. Does anyone have any information on this or know where someone can purchase the book in PDF format. If i remember correctly its Ultimate Scanner Modifications #2.

Any help greatly appreciated.

That wasn't informative enough, but I did find Bill Cheeks Scanner Mod handbook #2 which is supposed to have detailed instructions. I will find out when I get it.

I have been looking for some of Bill's books too. I tried the library, and they had it, but when I got there I found out it was lost! Where did you get a copy?

You can find Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 all over eBay and Vol. 3 is on amazon.com
If i remember correctly you can order them from your local Borders or Barnes and Noble bookstore (speacial order only).

As I sit here and read Vol. 2 I find I need volume one as there is tons of references to Vol. 1. Vol. 2 is a larger book than I was expecting. I was expecting a small paperpack. Its a paperback about the size of Police Call, :shock: WOW!
There is much more than I expected also. It goes into theory and whatnot and also realigning your scanner with a decent volt meter.
I will do a few of these mods and post pics and results when I get a chance.

That would be great to see some of your results!!

I just got an email from the library today. They have either found the book or they requested a copy from a library outside the Clark County Library system, so good news there. If I like it I will definantly look on Ebay, or a book seller, but I don't have as much discretionary money as I used to, so I didn't want I book that I could never use. The library is like a test drive.
