I was given a Pro-2018 scanner which I would like to use for a project.

The scanner came with NO power supply (wall wart) and appears to be an odd connector. I've not see one like this before.

The docs I downloaded do not give any specifics, albeit I could be missing something. I could only find the manual, and three tutorials.

Does anyone know where a direct replacement wall wart can be purchased? Or, is there a specification on the plug which could go in this, and I can attach a 12vdc pack I have here in my shack.

From the Pro-2018 Owner's Manual:

You can power the scanner from a vehicle’s 12V power source
(such as a cigarette-lighter socket) using a 12V, 300 mA DC
adapter and a size D Adaptaplug™ adapter (neither supplied).
Both are available at your local RadioShack store. .
To power the scanner using a DC adapter, attach the
Adaptaplug to the DC adapter so the tip reads positive (+)
and set the adapter's voltage switch to 12V. Next, insert the
Adaptaplug into the scanner's DC 12V jack. Plug the other
end of the DC adapter into your vehicle's cigarette-lighter
socket.

Specs on the size D Adaptaplug are in the chart I linked in your RE Pro-106 Power Connector thread.

When you say "A Whistler 1065 wall wart is a direct replacement" I assume you mean the power supply for the 1065 is a direct replacement for the one needed for the Pro-2018. The one below?

In case someone else has to go through this exercise, here is what was sent to me in private e-mail.

The power adapter is a Radio Shack AC Adapter, Class 2. Part #JOD-41U-02. Input voltage 120VAC (8 watt), output 12VDC, 300mA. Not sure what the connector is, as I've not seen that type of tip before.

It appears when you google "Power Supply JOD-41U-02" you get the proper voltages, but it's the connector which is in question. When I asked the question before, no one in the forum could tell me what they connector is. They did point me to some charts which didn't answer the question. :)

If anyone knows for sure the connector name/type/pn it might help some other folks.

The type and dimensions of the Adaptaplug D power connector as referenced in the PRO-2018 owner's manual are as follows:

EIAJ Type 4
OD 5.5 mm
ID 3.3 mm
with 0.9 mm pin

Sure looks like the same information that I gave in the second post in this thread. Not sure what difficulty the OP has in my presentation of the information. Sure thought the chart (originally pointed out to the OP seven days ago) clearly indicated EIAJ Type 4.
