Pro 2025 no receive

I have an older realistic pro 2025 that the receive has gone dead on. It turns on and scans like it should, but it won’t even pick up the weather stations. I know my antenna is good because my other 2 scanners work well on it. Where would I begin to look to repair this? I know it’s not worth having it fixed, but if I can do it myself I would Ike to have it working again. Plus I’d have the experience.

See if you can open the case to check to see if the solder joint where the back of the BNC connects with the circuit board is not broken. That happens a lot, though mostly with handhelds. Still, it is worth checking.

motorola connection, not a BNC from what i have seen.

Yes it has a Motorola style connector. Ok, I’ll check that out first.
