Pro 2034 help!!!

I have a radioshack pro 2034 scanner. The hissing noise will not go away, I can turn the squelch on max and the hissing noise still won't go away. Can anyone help please!

Stuff to try. It will at least troubleshoot it if you find something helps. If nothing helps then I dont know.

Take it outside or away and try it.
Try it using batteries.
Try it with an AC adapter.
Take the antenna off and try it.
Try pluggin an external speaker in it.
Try to reset it.
