I picked up a working Pro 2035 at a yard sale recently for cheap.. I have read about the discriminator tap mod for use with Unitrunker and/or DSDPlus.

Here is my question: I would like to decode the P25 Phase 1 audio from the Louisiana LWIN tower located near me. However, the listed frequencies are given with 5 decimal places. When I enter them on the 2035 it will tune the band , but it rounds them off. It’s around 770mhz. I can ”hear” the digital audio, but wonder if I am going to be able to tune close enough to the frequency for the signal to be usable.

Clearly, I don’t know what I am doing, so I figured I would ask the experts. No need to do the mod if it’s not going to work.

FYI, I am able to hear the audio via the aforementioned software and some RTL dongles. So I know it’s do-able, just not sure about the 2035.

Thanks in advance

Yes, rounding off of frequencies in the "new" bands will display accordingly on the PRO 2035. It is working and receiving, just the displays were only built with 4 decimal places.
