I have an old PRO-2038 that I came across a few years ago and decided to put it to use. (read, hopefully a new feed in the near future).

I have searched and searched and searched but come up empty on how to fix the "memory loss" when the scanner is unplugged. I opened it up hoping to find a battery to replace but, I didn't see anything.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks!
Rob

It took me about three minutes to find this.

According to the manual:

Memory Backup - keeps channel frequencies stored in memory
for up to 3 days during a power loss.

That wasn't my question. Perhaps I should clarify:

What does one do when the memory lasts for about 15 seconds after the unit is unplugged?
