Pro-2051 Alpha Hack?

Hello.

Although it does infact seem capable, is there a 'hack' out there to allow the '2051 display a line of alpha-text instead of frequency?

I'm wondering if this can be done thru the FPP or Software.

I will admit that would be very cool. But I don't see how the scanner would be able to work. I don't think there is a hack for it, but I could be wrong.

You'd have to change the firmware. Not doable in the field.
