I have a PRO-2051, it works fine for VHF/UHF, but for some reason, it appears to be off-frequency for 800mhz stuff...

Heres what my Pro-96 is getting (which is correct) compared to my Pro-2051

Pro-96 | Pro-2051
--------------------
868.6000 | 868.6250
867.4875 | 867.5125
868.6000 | 868.6250

Anyone have any ideas? I'm gunna try and get RS to repair it.

When a scanner locks on a channel and it is off by .0250 of the freg. it means that the 2051 will not hit that channel becuase of it chip. You will still be able to listen to the channel but it show a wrong freq. I believe it the way the scanner does it search in the 800 band.

It's definitely a defective product...unless the 2051 doesn't support the 800mhz PS band....

I can program the actual frequency in, but I won't hear anything on it, it doesn't automaticly hop .0250 off.

It displays the actual frequency I put in -- I know if you enter an invalid frequency it will hop.

My 2051 shows the same 800mz freq as my 96, 2096 and 2055. Sounds like your 2051 has problem........

Yes.. I already established that. Has anyone had a similar problem, or know of anyway to fix it? (Although, it sounds like a hardware problem, so theres probably no fix other than sending it in, but then I'd be without it for a few weeks)

Just to clarify, both scanners can show the same frequency, but the 2051 isnt tuned correctly. The Pro-96 hears what it hears on the correct frequency, and the 2051 hears the same traffic on the other frequency.

Yes I understand what you are saying, that is why I said your 2051 has a problem. It sounds like it is time for the 2051 to take a repair trip.

The local pd was running they data channel on 868.6250, Which I can also here on 868.6000 on my pro-96 and my pro-2051. The channel comes in better on 868.6250 because that is the channel freq. All I'm was trying to say is .0250 is not far apart. Take it to the shop, it your best bet from what I have read.

I know this thread is very old but my 2051 went on the fritz with this very same problem. Works great everywhere else, but now it won't trunk because it is off frequency. Funny how it's never left shelf or been bumped. I'm wondering if the original poster of this thread got his repaired and what the outcome was.
