I just got my PRO-2051, and I enjoy it...

the only thing I miss is MIL-AIR ability, but that is just a "Nice To Have Thing"

BUT...

Since I have been researching The PRO-2051, I have figured out that it will be a Trunking Paper-weight after the rebanding/FCC Sellout to NEXTEL... Who says our government ain't for sale...

SOOOOO...

I can still return the 2051 and pick up a 2052 for the same price on Clearance.

Houston uses Mot II, which the 2052 covers... and the 2052 has Mil-Air capability, so it won't be totally worthless after the reband.

I was looking for some comments on this from you guys, who have been scanning seriously much longer than I.

Thanks

Check out this link it will tell you if the systems in your area will be rebanded. In my case most will not be effected that may help personally I would stay with the 2051 since its new if it needs to be updated alot better chance. Just my thoughts
