I have the 2055 & 2051 and the 2055 is the way to go for the ease to program from the puter and Alpha tagging. As for the 2052 I have never owned one so someone else would have to give you the heads up on it. Remember none of these are digital so if there is a chance of your area going that way I would go with something else. The 2055 is on sale for $149 by the way so here is your chance........

Your best bet would be to use Win 97, it is worth every penny and it does have a 30 day free trial to see if you like it. I use the 20-047 USB cable myself ( serial port cable is also available ) which works very well with the 2055 & 2096/ 96. The data base here at Radio Reference is all you need so you don't need Police Call. Become a donating member and you can import from the the data base direct.

I too would go with the 2055. The text tagging is an awesome feature and makes life a lot easier. Bucko is 100% right with reguards to win97, its VERY user friendly and makes programing a snap!

Good luck! Keep us posted on your decision.

I chose to wait and not buy the pro-2055 because of the display problems. Uniden and maybe GRE will come out with new models later this year.
