Pro-2052 HELP

I know I am late to the party but I am trying to revive my use of this scanner and having a problem getting it to scan in trunk mode. Also cannot put in ID's. I have tried both the original manual and the easy to read manual neither method works.My question is any software still around that can update firmware and control trunk scanning and programming ID's? Thank You.

Hopefully you are trying to scan a very basic not rebanded Motorola or EDACS system.

The 2052 does not support rebanded systems (a lot of Motorola systems now are) and also will not support any digital formats such a p25.

I am not sure about the systems, but the frequencies are easy to enter and the radio does not error but cannot seem to enter any id's. The radio will not enter any display in the manuals so cannot get the id's in or scan the trunk system.Baffling.

It has to be in a trunking mode on a valid enteted trunked system before it will accept any TGID as they are specific to a system.

Entering frequencies is not the same as entering frequencies for a trunked system. Two completely different modes.

You are probably just entering frequencies in a conventional manner, if it won't allow TGID entry.
