I have a 2052 and it stopped scanning. I tried restting the scanner but now I can't get it off Lockout. All freqs except the public bands (air, police, fire etc) are locked out. Priority channels show lock out too. I have followed the directions and even sent RS a query. They suggested I power down for 30 min. After I replied that didn't work they said it's broke and to take it to a dealer!

I also cannot enter any freqs manually...I get a error message whenever I try. I'm sure that is due to the lockout though.

Any Ideas?

Did you know that you can unlock everything entered by holding down the L/O button until two quick beeps are heard ? Same applies for talkgroups too.

Of course there must be a freq. entered on that channel.
All of the channels not entered with freq's will show000.0000 L/O anyways until you enter something.

Look at page 36 in the OM .

I hold down the lock out button but never get the two beeps.

I show 000.00 but it won't let me enter a freq either.

No PGM feature on it.

However, for whatever reason, it is now working! I unplugged it and brought it home. Just sat down to mess with it and it took all the freqs with no problem. Obviously won of those gremlin things!

And this  dummy suggested PGM while looking at a Pro-96 - the feed is clearly Pro2052. My bad.

Glad the gremlin is gone.

No problem...because THIS dummy spelled "ONE" as "WON"!

Thanks for your help!
