i jsut got this thing today, never programmed a trunking scanner. I followed the easy to use instructions provided with it written by someone who had too much coffe probably. Programming for the EDACS I was sure to get that right. After entering in the freqs it starts to scan, but how do I enter the talk groups or IDs? there is no radio traffic at all. It shows in the manual that I should see bars at the top that well, I don't see on mine. I most likely have missed something obvious/easy. Thanks.

I love my 2052, but it programs a lot like the old Uniden scanners (which is what it is). I remember when I first got my Pro-90 (same as a BC235XLT) it took me forever to remember how to program a trunking system. Instead of trying to reinvent the wheel in this thread, take a look at the Pro-2052 page in the RR Wiki, there you will find a link to an easier to read manual and also links to various software products that can be used with the radio, some are free.

Happy Scanning!
