Has any one on the list use either of these for Mil-air scanning? I am thinking about getting the Pro-2052 since it is on closeout for $99.00 dollars and use it mainly for that. Can the 2052 am mode be selected for anyband?

i have the rs pro 2052 and i like it very much , no alpha text or tones , but a good all around scanner , and the mil air sounds good , at least on mine,
I think it could do better in the 110 to 136 range. I seem to get some spurious signals in the lower end. 129 to 136 is a bit cleaner.
But if your focus is Mil-Air , it seems to perform better up in the 200's and 300's.
I would second the 2052. I have one and live where interference from stuff both RF and electrical kill my signal to my uniden base models as well as the ones attached to the external antenna. But the 2052 has good conversion and cuts most of it out. I can hear on my 2052 more than the others due to that factor. And $99. You can't beat that with a stick.
