Marks scanners shows one pic of keypad and its for the Pro 93 and has a button with a wrench & light bulb.

I believe that is a key for keypad lock. Oops! I just noticed that trentbob already mentioned that.

I clearly remember when I owned a PRO-2053. They had a green backlight as shown below.

Yes that's what I'm talking about maybe the light is burned out I have two of these scanners I bought them years ago I just like the way they look I have my regular digital scanners but I was bored so I decided to pull this one out and play with it I may take it apart and see if there is a light in there that's burned out or do a search how to change the light inside so if I mess it up no big deal.
