when i download the free software from starrsoft.com when i try to download from my scanner it shows an error and shuts the program down. does anyone know of a free software to program a pro-2053???

Win93 will work with a 2053 for I have used them in the past, don't think you find any better. Make sure you have the correct port selected in Win93 and it should work just fine.
