Hello everyone I just bought this scanner and was wondering if anyone knew what would be a good software to use for programing frequency's for this model. I see that starrsoft has one for the 2055 but not the 2054 unless I over looked it but anyways any good ideas :) Thanks---jason

Scancat-Lite Plus does but I have never heard a single positive review about it. I'd just program it by hand and forget the added cost. The scanner won;t do trunking or alphatags anyway, so programming it will not be too hard, just time intensive for a few hours.

To add to what Grog said, I've attempted to use Scan-Cat Lite on this model (the only software I've found for it) and it didn't transfer the data correctly for the banks, and also screwed up the Signal Stalker settings.

What band?

Just a guess, but If it's 138-144 then it will likely set the default as FM, if 225-400 (if it even has it) then it should set that as AM.
