Pro-2055 better than Pro-2006 ?

i spent 95% of my day listening to aviation, civilian and military (UHF-AM).

I have a trusty Pro-2006 at the office (airport hangar) but to be quite honest, the scan speed, search, etc is indeed someething from, well, 1993.

Recently was playing with a Pro-2055, and feel this is just as good as the 2006, at least for the bands I need.

Anyone care to chime in ?

When you say better, in what way? Some people want selectivity, some want sensitivity. Some think scan speed is the cat's meow, while others like other bells and whistles. What do you think is better, my 1952 Ford or 1948 Studebaker? They both work on today's highways.
