Pro 2055 Freq step

im trying to program 156.14 into my pro 2055 and it keeps going to 156.135 or 156.1425 how do i change the step so i can get in 156.14???

it says in the manual that for 137-174 it has 5, 6.25, 7.5, or 12.5

Are you 100% sure 156.14 is a valid frequency?

You actually can't they are fixed, the listed steps for 137-174 are what is used within that range. The 156.135 wont make a difference in reception.

What agency are you tryng to monitor? 156.140 is not a valid VHF frequency, which is why the 2055 defaults to 156.135 or 156.1425, whch are the closest FCC assigned frequencies in the US.

That is a misprint I would say. If you do a google search and a bit more research I found 156.120 Woodford Co esda repeater (PL 114.8) shared with co highway dept. here: http://www.carmachicago.com/wxspot.htm

nothing in Dundee, Sleepy hollow uses 159.18 simplex, that is all that is listed under Dundee, township of,
E&W explain, Elgin, city of uses 159.18 as well as others
do the same search on the FCC link I posted this time in the name box input Elgin, city of state IL

The FCC database is fairly easy to use, you will get with practice.

That is a misprint which was propagated through the internet. There are many errors around the internet, usually because someone first posted the wrong frequency due to a typographical error. Try that link I posted, that should be a better idea of what it is. In browsing that document it shows that frequency but I would bet it is a typo. Same in the listing on the .pdf file for Fireground C 154.55, what is the real frequency?
