I received my 2055 today from Scanners Unlimited.
I've heard many nice things about Glenn, and they are all true.
A nice smooth transaction...
Anyway, Here you go...

Its a nice heavy radio with a solid feel.
I plugged in the power and the PC-IF cable and uploaded my win97 file and up and running I was. Very nice...

I noticed that the performance of the radio was very good with the stock antenna even in my basement. Plugging in the cable from my Monitenna made the radio came alive even more.
On the stock antenna topic: Its a very nice, all metal colapsable whip.
I can see myself using this on one of my HT's at some point.

Now for my favorite topic, "Audio"
All I can say is WOW. This is the way everyone should do it.
I have it cranked up right now and its 35 feet across my basement and I hear it very clearly. Its very crisp and clear with no real distortion even at higher volumes.
I have been getting real fussy about audio over the past couple years from using commercial radios for HAM use, and this radio can compete with the big boys. There will be no worries about using this thing mobile with the windows open on the highway....
The only downside I see right now is that the display is pretty small. Its very readable even farther away, but its still small...
Anyway, thats my 2 cents from using it for about 2 hours...
More to come. Tom/G, N1VVD

I added some pics, for your viewing pleasure. :)
