Pro-2055

Well my brand new Pro-2055's display died today. The local RS won't help. It is under warranty and I have my receipt.

Does anyone know if they might have one at a RS in OKC? I'm going to be going thru there on Thursday and I could trade it out or something. I know someone on the OK forum works at RS so that's why I'm posting here.

Check Radioshack.com I think there's one in sapulpa.

Agreed, check RS.com but I think Sapulpa is a bit of a stretch from Elk City.

They said it's a "franchise" store and they wouldn't do it. I'm packaging up my radio right now for it's trip to RS in Ft. Worth by UPS. I called RS direct yesterday.

Looks like my trip to the neurosurgeon in OKC is off for today anyway, maybe next week, too much snow to take a chance driving up there from Elk City so soon after my operation.

We have a franchise store here too.I have never had a problem like that(buying something that only lasted a few days,they would'nt take back/exchange)
I would have been very IRATE to say the least.
Did you talk to the owner/manager? Sorry to make such an issue,but,right is right.-you have your receipt!

Yes I did, and we were volunteer firefighters together years ago. It didn't help, I'll not be buying from that store again. btw, my display started to work part time today.

Great ! Maybe a bad solder joint?
I read in the other forums about the date code.Could be a defective Lot/Batch...
Some of those franchise stores can give Radio Shack a bad name.
