I've determined that my Pro-2067 may have a damaged front end or preamp. In side-by-side testing with a couple of other scanners and the same antenna, it doesn't hear some stations at all, that the other receive quite easily. I used NOAA weather transmitters 100 miles away for the test.

Does anyone have a schematic of the radio, or other pointers to what parts may be bad?

Thanks!

Since the PRO-2067 overloads easily on VHF-HI, your test does not necessarily indicate a damaged component. Does the 2067 perform worse than it did when new? How does it compare on other bands? If you have a band-reject filter for FM broadcast, putting it in the antenna feed may pick up VHF HI reception.

Radio Shack probably still sells a service manual for the 2067. A schematic for the very similar PRO-92 is at www.mods.dk.

You'll need to piece these four schematics together, but they may help. They are for the Pro-92.
