Pro 2067 does funny stuff on screen...

I have some pictures of the scanner did this. It scans good just one day it will do this on its own. One time it did backwards or upside down I can not find the pictures. It also did this hides the text another thing it does also hides the freq's also strange have no idea how this happens. I like to hide the freq's when scanning. I hope I can find out one day. If you have any info or have anything like that let me know. I may take it to the shop to check out again. Thanks for reading this...

The only suggestion I can think of is possibly bad power scrambling the scanner's brains.

If this is vehicle mounted, run the power cable to the battery... + to the battery post, - to a good clean ground point. Make sure if you have to, all splices are solid. I prefer to solder them myself rather than use the quickie tap types.

If it's A/C powered, try replacing the wall wart. If you can get something with a filter, that'd be even better. That'll rule out noise from another source in the house.

Hmmm... you didn't say if you'd tapped the unit or were using an external speaker. If you are, try unplugging those. I remember seeing a post somewhere where a guy was having problems with an externally powered speaker messing up the display.

man mine has been on alomst non stop sice i got it new when it first came out my has never dont that although once in a great great wile the screen goes blank done that maybe 2 or 3 times since i had it

Your display is pretty bizarre....have you tried doing a (soft) reset, which
should not affect the memory contents? Check your manual for details. If that
doesn't work you might have to go to initializing the scanner, which will lose
anything programmed in.

I have had blank screen also. I have done reset it many of times and took it to the shop nothing happens it goes back to it. I may buy a new power cord for it too see if it works. I never had a scanner do this til I have this one. I like it when it hides the freq's so no one knows what it is. I hope there is a way too do it. I know on two way radios you can.....
