I have a Pro-2067 scanner that i just initialized to re-program all the Motorola trunking frequencies from my area. It was trunking just fine, then i initialized it, programmed all the frequencies into it, and tried to scan them in the open mode. My pro-96 is making all sorts of noise on the same frequencies, but the 2067 just keeps scanning. I have tried all i can think of and help from the manual to no avail. Any suggestions????

Are you sure you set the banks to MO, as well as each chan to MO, and got all the correct frequencies in there with no delay on them? Also are you manually loading, or using Win92? And finally, did you set it to closed mode with the proper TG's in the right places?

I tried it manually first and it did not work so I tried to enter all of them in on Win92. I have set all the banks to MO as well as the freq's. However I have them in the open mode with delay on. Everything was working fine until i initialized the scanner. I can pickup the SL Airport freq's in the open mode as well as the Salt Lake City Police freq's <which are trunked as well> but i can't pick up any UCAN freq's while scanning for some reason????????????

Hmmm,... Also make sure that the Lock Out Box is clicked in the not locked out position... OK pick a UCAN site/cell closest to you....

Load it in an empty bank (any but 9,... and start in chan 01, not 00 just to be on the safe side....) Set to CLOSED Mode. Set the bank to MO, set each of the chan slots that you load to MO. Program in every one of the freqs for that site/cell. Set the delay to OFF on every slot....

Go over to the Talkgroups slots.....
Program in the TG's you want to hear.

Now put the scanner into scan and let it acquire the CC for the UCAN TRS. If your close eneough to the cell/site, your scanner will then decode the CC and start trunking.

Remember that there are a few things that effect trunk tracking: Distance from the transmitter is the biggest.
Proper programming of your scanner.
The type of antenna set up you have.

If your over say 20 miles away from the transmitter with a trunked system, you may have issues acquiring, or even decoding the CC.

If your just trying to find NEW TG's... scan in OPEN mode..
If you already know the TG's you want,... scan in CLOSED mode...
