I have been receiving (what seems to be) digital signals for the first time. I was in the Monterey, CA area and was scanning 155.700. It was sounding a little "garbled" but 75% sounded discernable. My question, the two-letter display at the upper right was not displaying "FM", but "DG" instead. Does this mean the scanner is receiving digital? I could not find this in my manual.

thanks.

Yes, 155.7000 is used by Santa Clara County, and it is digital (at least part of the time...there was a thread about its usage). I can pick it up here in Sacramento with a vehicle-mounted antenna.

And, yes, it displays "DG" instead of the normal mode that it's in.
