Pro 2096 mpscs setup

I'm from ohio but spend a great deal of time in the detroit metro area. on my last trip i had the mpscs programed in the 2096/96 with the primary and alt. cc channels only with no conv. between sites. got some good advise on the ohio marcs system to prog. a conv. ch between sites.
is it ok to only program the pri & alt cc's on the mi.system? and should i plug that conv. freq in between sites?was going to use 155.865.

You'll definately want them in there. The traffic from tower to tower can be very different.

I think that if you download the V memory folder for MI, you'll have all the freqs loaded and you are good to go.

No need to enter any individual freqs, just store the talk groups as they pop up.

RR has most all of the talk groups listed.

When I pick up a second digital, would like to have one programed with conventional spaced between sites and one without to compare.

There's no need to compare... If you don't have a conv in between, once it picks up a tower it will never search for another tower in that bank until it loses that one tower. If you do have a conv, it will check every CC in the bank for a signal.

Thanks Rob, I am still confussed as to the best programing setup. Im not 100% on this, but the other night I was monitoring a situation and I dont believe the LEO moved locations, but I thought when he transmitted the second time it showed another tower than the first transmission? If that could be the case, would I have heard the second transmission if programed with a conv. spaced freq.?
