Has anyone placed an order yet for the Pro-2096 to monitor the Hamilton County, Ohio system and if so, can you post how well it does over the Pro-96? Does it receive any better on the system then the Pro-96?. Thanks.

The PRO-96 & PRO-2096 are the same radio. One is handheld, the other base/mobile. There's no difference other than cosmetics.

The problem with HAMCO is in the system itself and has nothing to do with the scanners ability to monitor it.

I wonder why the XTS5000 on the system have no problem at all receiving transmission on the system and the scanners are.

I do not think the problem is the system I think it is the scanners.

Put the INPUT frequencies in your scanner and when you are close
to a unit you can hear them.

The best test will be with the Oxford, OH system!!

Then why is it it works fine on other C-QPSK systems?

PS- And yes even the radios have their issues as well. Granted not as bad as the scaners, but you would expect that.

I really don't believe it is the radio. I think it has to do with not getting all
the sites in the system in sync. Maybe that will happen once the Cincinnati system is fully online.
